Amber Mustard

I am an aspiring bridal designer originally from Estherville, Iowa. I first attended college at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles, California, where I earned my Associates of Arts Degree. Currently I am attending the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York where I am earning an Associates of Applied Science Degree in Fashion Design. I will then earn my Bachelors of Fine Arts degree in Special Occasion Design. My inspiration for this dress was to combine traditional silhouettes in a non-traditional and unique way. The ball gown was given a modern spin by combining a lace corset bodice and an organza skirt. The piece over the dress was inspired by Grecian draping. Flowers were added to the over-the-shoulder piece that flows into a train to add a feeling of romance, making this an easy dress for many types of women to wear.
