Nandi Fernandez

I was born and raised in Kingston, Jamaica, educated in New York City, seasoned in Florence, Italy, and currently live in Miami, Florida. My training at the Fashion Institute of Technology (NYC) provided the technical fundamentals necessary for carrying out my elegant, effervescent, and eloquent vision for bridal, evening, and ready-to-wear. The allure in designing is in the details. Each piece I create is more than just a garment; it is an expression of art and labor of love. I am inspired by all things vintage and timeless. My designs boast feminine charm and modern sophistication, possessing unique elements married with romantic detailing. I drew my inspiration from “The Birth of Venus", by Botticelli. The gown portrays the theme "Artful Romance" with its intricate goddess-like draping and pleating. The inspiration for the pleating came from the beautiful shell the Goddess of Love stands on and the seascape.
